Discussion with Tisha Marina Bernard

As a follow-up to this year’s Hoop Convergence, I’m hosting a few online discussions. The first is Thursday, June 13, 5-6:15pm EST with Tisha Marina Bernard.

Tisha is Indigenous to Turtle Island and was featured in the Hooping Life Documentary. She is the founder of the I Choose Peace Academy, whose educational mission is to empower young leaders with the courage, compassion, and leadership skills to create peace within themselves and their peers. Tisha uses hoops and dance education as a vehicle for social change. In this conversation, Tisha will discuss some of her work with youth and hoops, as well as her Indigenous connections to hoop dance.

By Donation: Proceeds will go directly to Tisha or the organization of her choice.

Please write HoopConvergence@gmail.com to receive the link for the call and donations.
